Total Budget: ETB 28,943,337 (Twenty eight million nine hundred forty three thousand three hundred thirty seven)
Project beneficiaries: 600 HHs (477 men & 123 women) with a total of 4,200 people.
Main government partners: Oromia Bureau of Agriculture and Natural resource Development and the Respective office in Seka Woreda.
Project objective: Contribute towards rural poverty reduction through implementation of Irrigation based integrated development project.
Key Achievements:
- Irrigation infrastructure with a capacity of irrigating 200ha of land developed.
- In two seasons, 200ha of farmlands cultivated and harvested 2,910 quintals of maize, 5,226 quintals of wheat, 7.5 quintals of peppers and 90 quintals of soya bean; and generated Birr 24,535,500.00.
- Various physical and biological measures done to protect and sustain the irrigation structures.
- The established water users association and its committee manage water distribution and play a liaison role between the target users and woreda agriculture office to get farm inputs.
