Total Budget: ETB 28,584,382 (Twenty eight million five hundred eighty four thousand three hundred Eighty two)
Total Beneficiaries: 610 HHs (457 men and 153 women) which have 4,410 people.
Main government partners: Afar Bureau of Livestock Agriculture and Natural Resource Development and the respective office in Berhale Woreda.
Project objective: Improve food security of target communities in Sebana-demale kebele through irrigation based integrated development interventions.
Key Achievements:
- Irrigation infrastructure with a capacity of irrigating 170ha of land developed.
- In two seasons, 160ha of lands cultivated and 369 quintals of maize, 172.5 quintals of tomato, 31 quintals of onion and 231.5 quintals of sorghum and these products have a monetary value of Birr 7,536,760.00.
- 100 women are organized in saving and credit and supported 300,000.00 as seed money and engaged in different income generating businesses and generate good income from their businesses.
