Project Beneficiaries: 300HHs (280 men & 20 women) which consists of 2100 people.
Main government partners: Afar Bureau of Livestock Agriculture and Rural Development and the respective office in Gelalo (Bure Modaitu).
Project objective: Improve food security in Subuli & Hengege project kebeles through irrigation crop production and create food self-sufficient target communities.
Key Achievements:
- Irrigation infrastructure with a capacity of irrigating 150ha of land developed.
- Various biological and physical conservation structures implemented to protect the irrigation infrastructures.
- 100 women organized and supported with Birr 300,000.00 as seed money and they engaged in different income generating business and earn good income.
